For Monday 2/12: Assignment 1: Read "Sustainable Energy Future" packet.  Use the note sheet to add information on what each of the alternative energy sources mentioned in the reading are (solar, hydroelectric, geothermal, hydrogen, biomass), as well as advantages and disadvantages of each.  Then answer the following (typed on a separate sheet from your notes): 1. Describe the key differences between passive and active solar heating.  2. Explain why wind energy is considered to be a "form" of solar energy.  3. Pick two alternative energy sources and give at least one good advantage and disadvantage of each.  4. Identify which alternative energy source you feel has the most "promise" of supplying our society with usable energy in the future and explain why.  Use information from the reading and/or other written or online sources to support your answer. Assignment 2: Turn in group project proposal by Monday.                                                                  For Tuesday 2/13: Complete "Be a Meter Reader" activity.

Social Studies     Review the day's game activities - see Mr. Knisely ASAP if lost. Get your forms filled in so we can continue new rounds tomorrow!
