8th Grade Band Visit

 

 

This year, 8th Grade middle school band students attended an HG 9th Grade Concert Band rehearsal. 
 
This visitation was designed to ease the transition of the 8th Graders into the High School Band program. 
 
Also, we wanted to encourage those students currently enrolled in the middle school band programs to register for Band at HG.

During the rehearsal 8th Grade students had an opportunity to listen to the 9th Graders perform, then they played a few pieces as one [very large] ensemble. 
 
Following the rehearsal, incoming freshmen had a chance to get acquainted with the Performing Arts facilities.
